Crystal Clinic Orthopaedic Center Welcomes Salvatore J. Frangiamore, M.D., M.S. – Sports medicine and shoulder surgeon now seeing patients in Independence and Solon

FAIRLAWN, OHIO, July 16, 2024 – Salvatore J. Frangiamore, M.D., M.S., a fellowship-trained, board-certified orthopaedic surgeon specializing in the non-operative and operative treatment of shoulder, knee and sports- related injuries, has joined Crystal Clinic Orthopaedic Center. He is now seeing patients in Independence and Solon. Dr. Frangiamore’s special interests include joint preservation techniques, particularly in young, active individuals with shoulder arthritis, as well as rotator cuff repair, shoulder dislocation and instability repair, complex shoulder arthroscopy, shoulder replacement, complex knee arthroscopy, knee ligament reconstruction and meniscus repair cartilage restoration procedures.
A native of Northeast Ohio, Dr. Frangiamore completed his orthopaedic surgical residency at the Cleveland Clinic and pursued specialized training at the world-renowned Steadman Clinic and Steadman Philippon Research Institute in Vail, Colo.
He has written numerous peer-reviewed articles, book chapters and surgical technique guides related to his extensive orthopaedic research. This has earned him several accolades, including the American Shoulder and Elbow Surgeons Neer Award, the highest honor in shoulder and elbow research. He has traveled throughout the U.S. and internationally to present his work.
Dr. Frangiamore previously served as a team physician for the Cleveland Guardians Professional Baseball Organization, the Premier Lacrosse League, the medical team for the Burton U.S. Open of Snowboarding and Premier Soccer League Summer series. He was selected as a candidate member of the American Shoulder and Elbow Society and has served as a board member of the Ohio Orthopaedic Society. Dr. Frangiamore is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine.
