Bio

Dr. Fleissner is a board-certified, fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon. He is a graduate of Marquette University and The Ohio State University College of Medicine. He served his residency at Akron City Hospital and completed his fellowship at Denver Children’s Hospital.

Dr. Fleissner specializes in pediatric and adolescent sports medicine, with an interest in sports injuries, scoliosis, clubfoot, and fractures.

Dr. Fleissner belongs to a number of national, state and local medical associations, and is a clinical professor of orthopedic surgery at Northeast Ohio Medical University. He has conducted research in a number of areas related to pediatric orthopedics and has been honored for his research. His current research includes using platelet-rich plasma to help patients overcome ACL reconstructions sooner. He also was the first surgeon in the United States to perform the Reveille (one-stage) cartilage transplant. He has been published and has presented on numerous occasions. Dr. Fleissner has been a physician since 1984.
